There’s a major movement underway on the southwest side of our nation’s capital, and FrameCo is a key participant: a 24-acre development known as The Wharf, set to revamp Washington D.C.’s waterfront and be a major player in the city’s infrastructure revolution. Our team kicked off production last week on wall panels for Parcel 11B, a four story luxury condominium with 109 units featuring an intricately landscaped interior courtyard intended for residents and the public to use. The exclusive living space was designed by SK&I Architectural Design Group and will be the first to open of Phase 1- which is why GC Balfour Beatty chose FrameCo to get the job done quickly and efficiently through prefabrication.

Around the condo will be a new church as well as a 3.5-acre waterfront park, all part of the 1.3 billion dollar mixed use venture to create a space dubbed as the city’s “maritime front porch” by the Washington Business Journal. PN Hoffman and Madison Marquette, the developers of the groundbreaking project, are hoping The Wharf will be a game changer for the city- and with a final plan that includes 560 residential units, a new marina, a yacht club, a music hall, and a 456-foot-long pier, we think they won’t be disappointed.
