2016 is the year the first of the baby boomers start turning 70. The effects? An increase in Florida’s population, more government spending on healthcare…and a lot of new senior living centers. In the city of Tallahassee alone, ten new centers are in various stages of construction- that’s 1,235 units in assisted living space to be added to just one city. They’re known by many names; nursing homes, memory care, assisted living, and more.

According to Gaurie Rodman, director of development services at a large supplier of the industry, “There are two nursing homes closing a week.”

One of the driving forces behind the surge in senior living development is a new and bettered design. According to Gaurie Rodman, director of development services at a large supplier of the industry, “There are two nursing homes closing a week”. Each is being replaced by several bigger, better, and sleeker creations. Some examples of these betterments? Check out our residential page, where choice projects from FrameCo’s senior living file can be viewed. And that’s not all- we’re excited to announce our new contract with three Metro Health Villages all scheduled to be constructed in the fourth quarter of 2016 in Michigan locales: Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Township, and Commerce Township! Watch this space, folks- the senior living revolution has just begun. FrameCo
